Raku Workshop - 3rd and 17th August
This 2 part workshop will enable you to start with the basic skills of Raku in the outside kiln.
You will be guided through the process of making in the first session and decorating with raku glazes and firing in the kiln with your tutor Joy Gibbs Price. Joy has taught ceramics for 27 years and is a practicing potter. With expert tuition you will be given demonstrations and careful explanations of the different stages of making, decoration, firing, cooling and quenching.
The experience runs for 2 hours approx on the two sessions, the second session is outside so warm clothes are advisable. The cafe has an outdoor covered area where you can take refreshments.
